Scenario
Eddie and Venom, on the run, face pursuit from both worlds. As circumstances tighten, they are forced to make a heartbreaking choice that could spell the end of their symbiotic partnership. Andy Serkis was interested in returning to directing following his involvement in Venom 2 (2021), but was unable to do so due to his commitments to Animal Farm (2025) (which he had previously postponed to direct the first ), so screenwriter Kelly Marcel took over as director for this film. In an important shot of Las Vegas, you can see the Sphere, a structure completed and open in 2023. However, in the film, Eddie mentions that he and Venom they have been together for a year. The first Venom movie takes place in 2018, so that makes this movie take place in 2019, 4 years before the Sphere existed.. As the concluding piece of this hilarious trilogy, it fell short of many expectations
First of all, it felt like the makers made every possible bad decision when it came to the songs and music. What should amp up the intensity of the ride simply let it stay gentle throughout, even the climax, even the falling action. With Venom and Eddie largely ceasing their bickering, their bromance was significantly toned down in this film. Of course, there was some of that promised action as seen in the trailers. But was there something that blew me away that was absent from the trailers?
While the villain’s backstory is pretty solid, it could have been more center stage
Not really. Most of the characters that appeared in this film felt loosely woven together; although the plot could not have moved forward without their roles, they barely left any impact. Talking about the plot, it remains mostly uneventful with the creators just throwing a few villainous 3D effect creatures with their names in front of us. There is only one major action sequence throughout the film that it was reduced to something I would either skim through or watch at a slightly increased playback speed. If unnecessary scenes, and by that I mean, 'do not add humor or value to the plot' scenes were deleted, it could easily be cut to half the current running time.

That said, there could certainly be hints of where this film has left loose ends, but as of now, it’s far from involved in such a giveaway. I feel like the last one in the trilogy didn’t do justice to the previous two. The ending in particular felt like a great ending, and while the clips were good, the song choices really didn’t work for me.
