Scenario
It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as their long-standing rivalry comes to a head.. The same filming location was also used to portray Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC TV adaptation of Poldark..
This adaptation (one help in) seems to get along perfectly
So obvs he read the book an eon ago (it was like a coming of age ritual in a certain time and place) and TBH he remembered very little apart from the odd name (because some of Jilly’s were so rigorous – Rupert Campbell Black says it all – and sort of went into the lexicon), but almost immediately I started to, if I didn’t I remember the plot, to Make a synaptic image with the heady smell of YSL Opium from watching The Rivals. He giggles goofily rather than laughs out loud and spicy, not sleazy.
He quickly built the world – the 80s, old men and greedy Thatcher yuppies, bored wives and fearsome warrior women, all treated like meat no matter what, concord, cigars and birdsong
. .
nail it at the top…and the socio-political commentary, while not shoved in your face, is much clearer than when you read the books
. Maybe because I'm older and I've met more people, Cooper's critique of British culture is more obvious, but I think it's also the cast, the accents, the costumes – bringing out each character' s habitus (to quote Bordeau) and its presentation to the public for consideration, admiration, denigration and/or titillation.

Okay, it’s a bit panto panto but FFS why not?!. The last season of "What We Do in the Shadows" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
